The General Laborer in the Receiving Department is responsible for assisting with the unloading, sorting, and verification of incoming shipments. This role plays a key part in ensuring that all materials and products are received accurately, safely, and in a timely manner to maintain inventory flow and warehouse efficiency. 1st shift 6:30am-3:00pm Key Responsibilities:
Unload inbound shipments from trucks and containers.
Verify shipment contents against packing slips or purchase orders.
Inspect products for damage or defects and report any issues to supervisor.
Sort, label, and organize received items for inventory or put-away.
Use pallet jacks or other material handling equipment as needed.
Assist with data entry or scanning items into inventory systems (as trained).
Maintain a clean and safe work environment in the receiving area.
Follow all safety guidelines, company policies, and standard operating procedures.
Assist with other general labor or warehouse duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs without restrictions.
Able to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
Reliable transportation and punctual attendance.
Willingness to work overtime or Saturdays if required.
Basic understanding of warehouse operations; RF scanner experience is a plus.
Team-oriented with good communication and a strong work ethic.
