Operations Manager




About the Role:

The Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing the laundry operation to ensure efficient production and distribution processes. This position is responsible for driving operational excellence by managing resources, streamlining workflows, and maintaining high standards of workplace safety. The successful candidate will lead and develop teams to achieve performance targets while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability. They will also be instrumental in controlling costs and maximizing productivity to support the company’s strategic objectives. Ultimately, the Operations Manager will ensure that all operational activities align with business goals, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations.




Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day Plant operations to meet production schedules and quality standards.
  • Lead, mentor, and evaluate employee performance to build a motivated and high-performing team.
  • Implement and enforce workplace safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Develop and monitor operational budgets, controlling costs without compromising quality or efficiency.
  • Oversees and manages the transportation department.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments to optimize supply chain processes and improve overall operational effectiveness.




Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management within a commercial laundry, manufacturing, or distribution environment.
  • Proven track record of managing teams and improving operational processes.
  • Strong knowledge of workplace safety regulations and compliance standards.
  • Experience with cost control and budget management.




Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration or Operations Management.
  • Certification in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar process improvement methodologies.
  • Experience with advanced warehouse management systems (WMS) and manufacturing execution systems (MES).
  • Demonstrated success in leading large teams in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
  • Familiarity with sustainability practices and environmental regulations in manufacturing.

Employee performance and people management skills are used to motivate staff, conduct evaluations, and foster a collaborative work environment.
