Industrial Maintenance Technician – N. FTW / Blue Mound Rd. & 820N area (Near Meacham Airport)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provide support for the Manufacturing Department and to ensure that all equipment is in safe and optimal working condition.
Must be able to work independently and meet deadlines. Applicants shall have excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure and handle emergencies.
Must have advanced mechanical aptitude and ability.
Must have sense of Urgency to minimize downtime.
Must have strong knowledge of electrical wiring repairs and installations, AC/DC controls and schematic diagrams.
Must have experience in general mechanical maintenance of production machinery, including maintenance of pneumatics and hydraulics, welding, and ordering machine parts.
Must be able to follow instructions and procedures, including reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications.
Must be able to use a variety of hand and power tools.
Welding skills preferred but not required.
Must be able to bend and hang conduit.
Effective completion of corrective, preventive, and predictive maintenance tasks.
Prepare maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
Assist with completion of project work as directed.
Maintain continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating action irregularities and continuing needs.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience Requirement
High School diploma required; associate degree preferred.
Previous metal fabrication manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
Ideal candidate will have 7+ years’ experience as an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic. Focuses on Machine setup and tear down, precision measurement adjustments, Tool and Die sharpening, failure analysis to root cause, Electrical Controls troubleshooting.
Have exposure to Lean Manufacturing concepts.
Be able to work in a team environment and alone.
Specific Skills Required
Must have pertinent experience in ANY of the following fields: Plumbing, Welding, PLC Programming, Electrical, Pneumatics, Roll Forming, Progressive Roll Forming, Metal Fabrication environment, Precision Measuring tools, Machinist, Basic Carpentry, Small Tool Repair, and Tool Sharpening.
