In this role, you will support the inspection and quality assurance of advanced composite components, tooling, assemblies, and subassemblies. Your expertise will play a vital role in maintaining compliance with engineering specifications, customer requirements, and industry standards throughout the manufacturing process.

Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections of manufactured products and components
Conduct detailed visual inspections of composite tooling, components, subassemblies, and finished assemblies
Inspect painted and coated composite parts to verify quality and compliance
Ensure products meet engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions, and customer requirements
Identify, document, and communicate non-conforming materials and products
Precision Measurement & Testing
Perform dimensional inspections using precision measuring equipment, including:
Calipers
Micrometers
Height Gauges
Depth Gauges
Indicators
Gauge Pins
Protractors
Other precision measurement tools
Conduct paint and coating thickness inspections using ultrasonic thickness gauges
Complete precision weighing and measurement activities
Utilize inspection fixtures and tooling to verify product conformity
Documentation & Quality Records
Maintain accurate and detailed inspection records
Compile certification packages and First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs)
Review supplier documentation and inspection packages for completeness and accuracy
Record inspection data and maintain quality compliance documentation
Support quality investigations and corrective action efforts
Quality Assurance Support
Conduct internal quality audits and assessments
Assist with troubleshooting and evaluation of products, assemblies, and systems
Support quality improvement initiatives and departmental objectives
Provide recommendations for corrective and preventive actions
Assist with training and mentoring less experienced team members
What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
5-7 years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong experience reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications
Extensive dimensional inspection experience
Strong understanding of inspection procedures and quality standards
Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
Aerospace manufacturing experience
Composite materials inspection experience
Experience preparing or reviewing First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs)
Knowledge of AS9100 or other regulated quality management systems
Experience supporting quality audits and compliance initiatives
