Junior Foam Line Operator / Technician
Location: Indianapolis, IN

Are you mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and eager to learn a specialized manufacturing process? We're looking for a Junior Foam Line Operator / Technician to join our production team. In this hands-on role, you'll work alongside experienced technicians to help produce high-quality foam products in a safe, team-focused environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with manufacturing experience, technical training, or an interest in chemistry and industrial production who are looking to build a long-term career.
What You'll DoChemical Preparation & Mixing
  • Prepare and mix chemical formulas according to production specifications
  • Accurately measure materials using industrial scales
  • Monitor, track, and document chemical usage throughout the shift
  • Replace chemical drums and safely connect new materials to the production system
  • Refill tanks and containers with additives and required chemicals
  • Verify chemical blends are properly prepared before production begins
Production Line Setup
  • Assemble and prepare foam production equipment
  • Clean, inspect, and reinstall production components as needed
  • Configure equipment settings for proper foam density and quality
  • Perform pre-production inspections and safety checks
  • Report equipment issues or unusual operating conditions
Production Support
  • Monitor production operations and communicate any concerns
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Assist senior operators with troubleshooting and process adjustments
End-of-Shift Responsibilities
  • Clean equipment and work areas following production runs
  • Prepare materials and chemical pre-mixes for upcoming production
  • Properly dispose of waste materials according to established guidelines
  • Ensure work areas are ready for the next shift

What We're Looking ForQualifications
  • Technical training, manufacturing experience, or college coursework in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field preferred
  • Ability to accurately operate industrial scales and measuring equipment
  • Familiarity with chemical labeling systems (GHS) preferred
  • Ability to read and understand Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to follow procedures and prioritize workplace safety
  • Dependable with strong communication and teamwork skills
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds independently
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and move throughout the shift
  • Comfortable working around industrial equipment and chemical processing systems
  • Ability to work in confined areas, including crawling beneath conveyors when needed
  • Good hand dexterity for mechanical assembly and adjustments
