CMM OperatorJob Overview
We are seeking an experienced CMM Operator to join our quality team. In this role, you will inspect parts, assemblies, and tooling using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and other precision measurement equipment to ensure products meet quality standards and customer requirements.

This position is ideal for candidates with experience in quality inspection, metrology, aerospace manufacturing, composites, or advanced manufacturing environments.
Responsibilities
  • Perform inspections using CMM equipment and other metrology tools.
  • Inspect parts, materials, tooling, and finished products for quality compliance.
  • Generate and maintain inspection reports, including:
    • First Article Inspection (FAI) Reports
    • Dimensional Inspection Reports
    • Drawing-Based Inspection Reports
    • Model-Based Definition (MBD) Reports
  • Analyze measurement data and identify quality concerns.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.
  • Support quality audits and corrective actions.
  • Maintain and verify calibration of inspection equipment.
  • Use laser trackers, portable CMMs, and 3D scanning equipment.
  • Complete quality documentation accurately and on time.
QualificationsRequired
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing, quality inspection, metrology, composites, or a related field.
  • Experience operating CMM equipment.
  • Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings.
  • Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
  • Experience using precision measuring and inspection equipment.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
Preferred
  • Experience with:
    • Faro, Leica, or API Laser Trackers
    • Faro Arm or Romer Arm portable CMMs
    • 3D Laser Scanners
    • Total Stations
  • Experience with metrology software such as:
    • PolyWorks
    • Verisurf
    • Spatial Analyzer
    • BuildIT
  • 3D CAD experience.
  • Aerospace, composites, tooling, or assembly experience.
  • First Article Inspection (FAI) experience.
