Shift: 2nd Shift, Monday-Friday
Hours: 1:00 PM - 9:30 PM
Pay: $17.75 per hour
Type: Temp-to-Hire
Position Overview
The Material Handler is responsible for safely moving, storing, and distributing materials throughout the facility while supporting shipping and warehouse operations. This role requires operating a sit-down forklift, handling large materials, verifying inventory, and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a sit-down forklift to transport materials throughout the facility
  • Move large materials weighing between 2,500 and 5,000 pounds
  • Load, unload, stage, and organize materials for production and shipping
  • Count, verify, and inspect incoming and outgoing materials
  • Perform basic data entry and maintain inventory records
  • Use measuring tapes to verify dimensions and material specifications
  • Support shipping operations during the 2nd shift
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Follow all company safety and quality procedures
  • Assist in other warehouse and production functions as needed
QualificationsRequired
  • 2-3 years of sit-down forklift experience preferred
  • Ability to safely handle large and heavy materials
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly throughout the shift
  • Basic math and counting skills
  • Experience verifying inventory and material counts
  • Comfortable with basic computer and data entry tasks
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Reliable transportation and excellent attendance record
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred
  • Experience operating sideloader forklifts
  • Experience using calipers and precision measuring tools
  • Manufacturing, warehouse, or shipping experience
Work Environment
  • Manufacturing and warehouse setting
  • Operation of narrow sideloader equipment in tight spaces
  • Active role requiring standing, walking, lifting, and material movement throughout the shift
  • Strict safety-focused environment
  • No cell phones permitted during working hours

  • Steel-toe boots required
  • Jeans or Dickies work pants permitted
  • Short-sleeve work shirts allowed
  • No shorts
  • Valid government-issued ID required for facility access and security check-in
