Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Department: Production Areas

Position Summary:
Seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to support and repair production machinery, building equipment, and essential systems. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, mechanical aptitude, and experience in a high-speed assembly production environment.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Perform maintenance on all machinery during assigned shift.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve plant maintenance issues as needed.
  • Conduct timely repairs, preventive maintenance, and equipment upkeep.
  • Ensure an adequate stock of repair parts and manage inventory through the MRO system.
  • Recommend and implement equipment improvements.
  • Assist with machine set-ups, start-ups, and qualifications.
  • Strive for continuous improvement in equipment performance.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and safety.
  • Perform and document daily preventive maintenance (PMs).
  • Enter and track work orders using an automated system.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
  • Adhere to the company’s Food Safety Program (GMP).
  • Perform other assigned duties as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • 3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in a high-speed production environment.
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and PLC troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to fabricate and design mechanical components.
  • Proficiency in computer systems, including work order tracking and inventory management.
  • Experience using automated scanning equipment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex machine issues, including air, water, and oil leaks.
  • Understanding of material load systems and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Team-oriented mindset with leadership abilities.
Physical & Safety Requirements:
  • Must wear required PPE, including hearing protection, safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, and hair/beard nets when necessary.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds overhead.
  • Capability to walk and stand for up to 12 hours per shift.
  • Manual dexterity, flexibility, and coordination to operate machinery effectively.
Work Schedule:
  • Rotating schedule: two days on, two days off, three days on, two days off, etc.
  • Flexibility for overtime and on-call work as needed.
Reporting Structure & Work Environment:
  • Reports to the Maintenance Manager.
  • Collaborates with Production Management, Quality Control, Human Resources, Warehouse, and Tool Room teams.
