Development Technician – 1st Shift (Metal Fabrication) Location: Coppell, TX Schedule: Monday to Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM | Overtime Available Type: Full-Time, On-Site
Exegistics has partnered with a small, growing manufacturing plant in Coppell, TX to find a hands-on, mechanically inclined Development Technician. If you’re comfortable working with tools, not afraid to get dirty, and enjoy solving problems, this is a great opportunity to grow your skills in a fast-paced environment.
Job Responsibilities:
Work on diesel exhaust components: measure, cut, extract, and rebuild
Use calipers, tape measures, plasma torches, cut-off wheels and hand tools—someone mechanically inclined
Inspect and handle metal parts with accuracy and care
Perform basic light fabrication and mechanical assembly
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace
Communicate with team members and update spreadsheets/emails using basic computer skills
Qualifications:
Mechanically inclined and comfortable using tools
Experience with calipers and measuring tape required
Experience with plasma torch or metal cutting tools preferred
TIG welding experience is a plus, not required
Basic computer skills (Excel, email)
Ability to lift 50–100 lbs as needed
1–3 years of experience in fabrication, mechanical work, or manufacturing preferred
