DESIGN ENGINEER II

You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our cutting-edge hydraulic products and functions for our global customers. As one of our technical experts, you will lead the design, development, and testing of components and systems across all product lines. From creating detailed 3D models and design risk analyses to collaborating with cross-functional teams and customers, every day will offer new challenges and opportunities to grow and support our focus on continuous improvement and development.




SOME KEY DESIGN ENGINEER II RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Design, develop, and enhance new and existing products, systems, or components within a set budget and timeline (from concept through launch).

· Interface with key stakeholders (customers, suppliers, sales, manufacturing, other engineering departments, etc.) to understand the core needs and participate in the project scope/study input definition.

· Apply engineering fundamentals to create innovative designs for hydraulic applications, including CAD modeling, simmockulation and design validation.

· Knowledge of mockup/prototype/serial parts realization in connection with mockup and manufacturing teams.

· Lead studies and validations of new concepts/products for components.

· Evaluate and recommend specifications and technical solutions from concept or architecture to final validation including manufacturability aspects.

· Assist in troubleshooting manufacturing issues and creating long-term solutions.

· Design validation processes (DFMEA, FMEA, PFMEA calculations) to ensure the designs meet the technical, feasibility, functional, and quality requirements.

· Create Design Verification Plan and Report (DVP&R) and any follow up.

· Identifies and simulate the sizing calculations on the parts/components and FEA calculations.

· Generate innovative and accurate models and drawings using CAD.

· Create GD&T and workflow of Design model of part and product development.

· Recommend and follow reliable, efficient, and cost-effective procedures.




DESIGN ENGINEER II QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

· Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).

· Minimum of 5 years of experience required in product design of automotive transmissions or Thermal engines, hydraulic motors or pumps, gearboxes, and/or mechanical structures.

· Proficiency in 3D Modeling software, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite. SolidWorks or Creo preferred.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Bilingual in French is a bonus as their global headquarters are in France.

· Strong analytical, multi-tasking, problem-solving, and teamwork/collaboration skills required.
